Mental Health Awareness for Parents Event

Mansfield ISD's Parent and Family Engagement Department is inviting parents to connect with school counselors and explore the vital topic of mental health at an upcoming event on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the R.L. Anderson Education Complex, located at 1016 Magnolia St., Mansfield, TX 76063.

Parents will have the opportunity to register for one of three simultaneous sessions tailored to specific age groups:

  • Elementary (PK-4th Grade): "Understanding the Behavior of Elementary Age Children Through a Developmental Lens."
  • Intermediate-Middle (5th-8th Grade): "Understanding Anxiety in Middle Grades Students: Signs, Symptoms and Solutions. How to Identify When Your Student is Dealing with Anxiety and What You Can Do to Help Them?"
  • High School (9th-12th Grade): "Anxiety and Depression: 'Is My Teen Okay? Identifying Anxiety and Depression in Teens.'"

These  sessions aim to provide parents with valuable insights and practical knowledge on recognizing and addressing mental health concerns in their children.
