Red Ribbon Week is coming to Boren! The kick off date is Monday, October the 29th. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. Red Ribbon week wants students to live the drug free life. This week is full of fun filled activities and themes for each day of the week. Below is a list of what each student can learn to be drug free.
Monday, October 29th - Let's Rally in Red to show we are drug free! Have your kids wear as much red as they can.
Tuesday, October 30th - From Head to Toe, I'm Drug Free! Boren Bears wear your craziest socks and craziest hair due!
Wednesday, October 31st - We Have Character...We won't do Drugs! Students may wear a storybook character costume. There will be a parade after announcements, so please have your kids bring the storybook that their costume represents.
***No Halloween costumes unless it's a storybook character please. For safety reasons, all students must wear regular shoes and may not wear a mask that may prohibit them from walking down the stairs safely. No Scary masks please...Some Elementary students may scare easily and we want this to be a pleasant experience for all. ***
Thursday, November 1st - We are too Smart to Start! kids can dress up as a nerd. Grab those pocket protectors, glasses, and suspenders!
Friday, November 2nd - Voting for my Future to be Drug Free! Wear Red, White and Blue. How patriotic can you get!
